Covid Screening
- Before each session, Clients must ensure that:
• They understand that if they develop any signs of Covid-19 and/or feel unwell they will respect the health of others and not come to class.
• The client confirms they do not have any of the following symptoms - High temperature; New continuous cough; A change in taste or smell.
Timetable and Prices:
Clair Carr’s timetable, prices and policies are subject to change from time to time. All changes will be noted on the website. Pilates classes are limited to 10 clients per class.
Booking Sessions:
All bookings (Group Classes, Private, Semi Private, Reformer and Studio sessions) can be made via our online booking system, Cliniko. All Group Classes are pre-booked and paid for in advance as part of a half term block (in line with the local school term timetable). No missed classes/unused sessions can be carried over to the next term, unless due to medical reasons and/or agreed with Clair Carr. Clients are, however, welcome to make up their missed class in another suitable class, subject to the Instructors prior approval and there being space within the class. Pilates group class bookings are allocated to individual client accounts and cannot be shared between clients. When purchasing a block of private, semi private, reformer and studio sessions, please note that your purchase must be used within the Purchase Period. Client Enrolment Form and Waiver:
Upon booking any session, ALL clients will be asked to complete, sign a Client Enrolment form and Waiver. This must be returned to Clair Car, prior to your first session. Unfortunately, no movement session will take place until Clair Carr has received a fully completed and signed Client Enrolment form and Waiver. Clients must notify Clair Carr of any changes to their health and/or their contact details.
By providing contact details, the client agrees to be contacted by Clair Car with information on classes and other Pilates-related activities and understands that they have the right to withdraw this “consent to be contacted” (in writing) at any time. The client understands and agrees to Clair Carr using the information provided in the Client Enrolment Form, and any information later provided, for teaching purposes and understands that this information will be used in confidence and stored securely.
Health and Safety:
The client accepts full responsibility for attending Pilates and does so at their own risk. It is the responsibility of the client to inform the instructor, prior to any session, of any changes in their medical/health status which may affect their ability to exercise. The client will observe and abide to safety and technique instructions from the Pilates instructor at all times (in both physical and online/video sessions). The Client understands that it is recommended that they wait a minimum of six weeks (or 12 weeks after a C-section) after the birth before resuming exercise. The client understands and agrees that some Pilates exercises involve hands-on correction. Wherever necessary, the client will discuss Pilates with their doctor and/or another medical professional eg: physiotherapist, osteopath, chiropractor and confirm that he/she are happy for them to join a Pilates class. Pilates instructors are not medically trained so should the client have a query of a medical nature they must consult with a medical professional and take their advice. The client must adhere to the Health and Safety regulations of the Mid Herts Golf Club and understands that the use of any facilities at Mid Herts Golf Club, before and after the Pilates session, is done so at their own risk and accepts full responsibility in doing so. The client understands that recording sessions is strictly prohibited and agrees that they will not record or attempt to record any of these sessions provided by Clair Carr. Any video’s Clair Carr shares with the client are for the sole use of Clair Carr’s existing clients and are not to be shared or redistributed to anyone else by the client. The client also agrees to protect the privacy of others and will not disclose any information shared within a class with a third party.
Please remember, pain is the body’s warning system and should NOT BE IGNORED. Please inform your instructor immediately if you feel any discomfort during a session and seek medical advice if necessary.
Cancellations/Rescheduling:
All cancelations or rescheduling for Private, Semi Private, Reformer and Studio sessions can be made via the online booking system. A minimum of 24 hours notice is required should a client need to cancel or reschedule their Pilates session otherwise a full charge will be incurred. If the 24 hour notice period has been adhered to, the client will not be charged for their session and it will be available to use at a later stage, but within the Period of Purchase.
Period of Purchase:
The Period of Purchase is 6 months for a block of 5 sessions and 12 months for a block of 10 sessions from the date of purchase. The Period of Purchase for a block of Group Mat Classes are in accordance with the School Term which you will be notified of upon purchasing.
Refunds:
Once purchased, no refunds will be given on blocks of group classes unless the client is unable to attend or continue with sessions due to medical reasons.
Instructors, may at times, change (i.e. where class cover is required due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness). On the rare occasion that this should happen, the client accepts full responsibility for attending the class and does so at their own risk. The client will need to inform the Instructor of their medical/health status should they choose to take part in the session.
Should Clair Carr need to cancel your Pilates session, either a Group session, Private, Semi Private, Reformer, or Studio session for any reason, it will be done with as much notice as possible. Clair Carr’s liability shall be limited to a full refund (or class credit) of the cancelled session only. Travel will not be reimbursed.
Complaints:
If you are unhappy with the service provided, please raise your concerns with Clair Carr, in writing, within seven days of the situation.
Governing Law:
Any contract made between Clair Carr and the Client shall in all respects be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and the parties hereto submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
